Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide the kibble with a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Tibetan terrier specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Tibetan Terrier. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Tibetan terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Tibetan terrier.

Echinacea

Echinacea comes from the plant family Asteraceae, which is native to eastern North America. Medicinal properties are attributed to a number of plants from this family. For example, the plant is associated with strengthening the immune system and respiratory infections.

Research has shown that echinacea can have an anti-inflammatory effect in dogs. Blood tests have also shown that it has a positive effect on the health and resistance of dogs. It can reduce cold symptoms such as a runny nose and coughing.

At Yourdog we add echinacea to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to strengthening the dog's resistance and can contribute to its overall health.

Marigold

The marigold (calendula) is a plant that, like the goldenrod, belongs to the composite family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; It has been used for many years for its various medicinal properties. The original calendula species probably grew in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is hardly found in the wild anymore. Marigold is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.

There is a lot of information available about the positive effects of calendula. We can add calendula to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes and feet. Particularly good for the recovery of the skin and mucous membranes, it has an anti-inflammatory effect and has a regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestive process.

Calendula is mainly used as an external care product for, among other things, scratches or skin problems. But it can also be used internally because of its regenerating properties.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. The cultivation of raspberries dates back to the Middle Ages and occurs naturally throughout Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support the dog's health, such as vitamins such as vitamin C, minerals such as manganese and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.

Raspberry is added to our dog food because of its anti-inflammatory properties and it can make a positive contribution to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also contribute to maintaining vision and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Tibetan terrier dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Tibetan Terrier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Tibetan terrier older than 7 years old, we recommend the Yourdog Tibetan terrier senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Tibetan Terrier dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
