Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide the kibble with a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, has its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Kromfohrländer specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Kromfohrländer. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Kromfohrländer belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Kromfohrländer.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the umbellifer family and can be recognized by its aniseed flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamins A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.

We can add fennel to dog food because it can support digestion and prevent bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive influence on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.

Yucca

This plant grows in the deserts of Southwest America and Northern Mexico. The roots of the yucca have been used for centuries by the Indians in these areas as a medicine for rheumatism and arthritis. It slows down pain and inflammation in the joints.

Yucca can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints related to rheumatism, arthritis, arthrosis, the intestines and the heart. Yucca can also make the stool smell less strong and removes foul-smelling gases.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the apples, which are widely known in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fiber has a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and flexible. Dietary fiber also increases the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Kromfohrländer dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Kromfohrländer is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Kromfohrländer older than 7 years we recommend the Yourdog Kromfohrländer senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Kromfohrländer does not seem to like his Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We help you analyze the problems. If we cannot reach an agreement together, we will refund the purchase price.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Kromfohrländer dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
