The feeding place:
Feeding can start from the moment it starts to freeze. Sprinkle the food on the ground in open places so that the birds are not in danger of being eaten by cats lurking among the bushes. Another option is to place a feeding board or a feeding house/tube that is attached to a branch with a rope. The cats can only look up to this with great pleasure. Place the feeding board in a sunny and wind-free location, preferably where you can keep an eye on them from behind the window frame. Make sure there is a shelter above the feeding board, so that the food does not get wet or disappear in a snow shower. Furthermore, it is not interesting to place the feeding board close to large trees, garden sheds, pergolas, etc. where cats can jump off.
