Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide the kibble with a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, so that the dog gets all the essential, natural antioxidants. For example, fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the health of the dog.

Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, has its origins back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Australian cattle dog specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Australian cattle dog. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Australian cattle dog belongs. From these studies, in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Australian cattle dog.

Nettle

Stinging nettle is a plant genus of which the large nettle and the small nettle occur in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood purifying effect. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also useful for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the functioning of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it works to support the dog's bladder and hair growth.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building material that is part of connective tissue in, among other things, the bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair and nails. Silicon supports the natural production of the skin (cells) and ensures the maintenance of healthy skin.

At Yourdog we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the dog's coat, skin and bones, but also to prevent digestive and/or urinary problems. .

Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a substance found in the body that is found in joints, cartilage, joint fluid and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates the production of cartilage and keeping joints flexible.

Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case with older dogs or (too) heavy dogs, but also increasingly with younger, very active dogs. For example, due to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the umbellifer family and can be recognized by its aniseed flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamins A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.

We can add fennel to dog food because it can support digestion and prevent bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive influence on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Australian cattle dog dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Australian cattle dog dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
