Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Siberian husky. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Siberian husky belongs. From these studies, in consultation with a leading Dutch nutritionist, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Siberian husky.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not fall below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana may have been cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word Œbanaana from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals. Including vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen resistance. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a properly functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also contribute to lowering blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, magnesium can contribute to relaxing the muscles and promoting bone growth. In addition, banana contains a lot of good fiber and provides more good bacteria in the intestines.

Peppermint

Peppermint is a plant from the Lamiaceae family. It is the plant that led to the making of mints. Peppermint originated from a cross between water mint and spike mint. The plant was found in England in the seventeenth century in a field with mint plants. The plant is grown in England, France, China, Japan and North and South America.

We can add peppermint to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific complaints in relation to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also one of the properties of the peppermint plant.

Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint in peppermint can have an anti-spasmodic effect on the intestine and promotes the flow of bile in the intestine. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect.

Spirulina

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Siberian husky dog ​​food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Siberian Husky is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Siberian husky older than 7 years old, we recommend the Yourdog Siberian husky senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Siberian husky dog ​​food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
