Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our chunks. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from freely raised and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide the kibble with a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Keeshond specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We have carefully examined the breed characteristics of the Keeshond. We have also conducted research into the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Keeshond belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Keeshond.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heath family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has been used in traditional European medicine for a long time and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fiber for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamins C and K. It could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.

Fenugreek

Just like the pea, fenugreek is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called fenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in ancient times in the Mediterranean region. Today, fenugreek is also grown in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to food to prevent arthritis, asthma and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also enjoy the positive effects of the addition of fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.

Apple

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Keeshond dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Keeshond is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Keeshond older than 7 years we recommend the Yourdog Keeshond senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years old, you can choose the Adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Switching advice

If you switch to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then you mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog has now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Keeshond dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. It is therefore important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to place it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as best as possible.
