The puppy pen is a safe place where the puppy can play and sniff around without constantly needing your attention. You only put your puppy's belongings in the run, so your belongings remain intact and your puppy can really do his thing. A puppy pen is therefore useful if you want to be able to leave the puppy alone, but still want to offer freedom.
